Formal Garden Maze

I can't say I've seen any maze gardens in my area. It could be interesting though. I guess if I were to design a formal landscape like this, I might just pick up a book of maze games, find one I like, build some flower beds, install a drip system, lay down some path gravel, and plant some hedges. And then..., see if I can get lost in my backyard.
